21 year old William S Harley and 20 year old Arthur Davidson in 1903 built the very first Harley Davidson motorcycle.
It took only 17 years for Harley Davidson Company to become the largest motorcycle company in the world.
Produced in the wooden shack the first harley davidson would be run in a race on July 4 1905 their product won the 15 mile race in Chicago Ill.
A larger facility was built in 1906 and in 1908 the company sold its first bike for police use to the Detorit police department.
